Job Description:

*Evaluate the current state of all IS Microsoft SQL Databases.

*Develop and implement a plan to bring all SQL databases to optimal health.

*Develop and establish ongoing maintenance plans for all IS Microsoft SQL Databases.

*Review and ensure backups and DR plans and capabilities.

*Work with Information Services team to develop plans around upgrading SQL 2008 environment.

Qualifications Required skills:

*Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

*Strong skills in database tuning, performance management and database reorganization.

*Strong skills in backup and recovery of database.

*Strong skills of database recovery environment.

*Solid SQL and SSIS skills.

*Database modeling and design experience.

*Solid Windows OS skills.

*Basic project management and team coordination skills.

*Broad database problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

*Experience engaging with application vendors to restore database issues.

*Knowledge of Microsoft SQL upgrade planning and execution.
